My Sacred Pause: Daily reflections on looking within, loving who you are, and living out loud is a collection of essays designed to inspire busy women to pause and take a few minutes for themselves each day. The daily reflections are a culmination of my work as a therapist, yoga teacher, and creator of Badass Self-Care®.

The stories and strategies that I share in My Sacred Pause have grown out of my experiences as a woman navigating self-care in this patriarchal world. I believe they will resonate deeply with all women but particularly with those who identify as sensitive and empathic. Throughout the pages of My Sacred Pause you will learn how to give yourself the same beautiful care you so easily give others. You will reclaim self-love and self-trust and learn strategies for taking care of your needs, setting healthy boundaries, and honoring your truth. We do this work for ourselves and we do this work for our world. Because women taking care of themselves creates powerful shifts within and without.

This hardcover book is gorgeous and meant to be used each day as you pause and take a few minutes for yourself. My intention is to offer you a moment of mindfulness amidst the chaos of daily life. I adore this book. You can read it daily or pick it up when you need some clarity. The author guides you through a gentle practice that helps to settle your mind and open your heart. Melinda's words are grounded and compassionate. Her daily reflections and prompts offer gentle nudges toward greater self-awareness and self-compassion. I absolutely love this book of daily prompts and meditations. I have been using this book as art prompts for my visual journal, which combines watercolor and words.
